Your current clones
Most players will want clone reuse enabled because you can usually take multiple cuttings from a useful clone.

Valid genes: G, Y, H, W, X. You can type GGGYYY or G G G Y Y Y.
What this tool does
Scores the clones you already have against your selected target.
Tests each clone as the centre plant and fills the surrounding slots.
Shows what the centre plant is expected to turn into.
Adds predicted results back into the clone pool and plans another step.
If the real in-game result differs, report it so the model can be tuned later.
Large planter layout
This tool assumes a 3×3 large planter. The centre plant is the clone you are trying to improve. The eight surrounding positions are breeder plants.
[ A ] [ B ] [ C ] [ D ] [ T ] [ E ] [ F ] [ G ] [ H ]
Each step shows what to plant where, and what the centre plant is predicted to become.
Rust genetics planner FAQ
Does this guarantee a perfect GGGYYY clone?
No. It gives the best predicted path from the clones you enter. Rust crossbreeding can be affected by timing, planter setup, and exact in-game behaviour.
Why does it reuse the same clone around the planter?
If a clone has very useful genes, using multiple cuttings of it can strengthen that influence. Disable reuse if you only want each clone used once per grid.
What happens when I report an inaccurate result?
The predicted setup, actual result, and slot details are saved so the prediction model can be reviewed and improved later.
