Submit a real refining result
Log in or create a free account to track whether your submitted refining reports get approved into the model. An account isn't required to submit - anyone can submit a report below.
Finished a refining job? Tell us what you put in and what came out - this is the only real way these estimates get more accurate over time. Reports are reviewed before counting toward the model. A refinery order uses one method for the whole job but can process several different ores at once, so method, time, and notes are entered once below, and you can add a row for each ore that was part of that same job.
Picking the refinery you used helps a lot - yield bonuses vary by location, so knowing where a job was done lets us separate that location's bonus from the method's real base yield instead of mixing them together.
Enter quantities in cSCU (the units shown on the refinery order screen) - 100 cSCU = 1 SCU.
Your ore haul
A refinery job uses one method and one location for everything in it - pick both below, they apply to your whole haul.

Refining methods
Every refinery offers all of these methods, trading yield, processing cost, and processing speed against each other. These relative ratings are what UEX itself publishes - the calculator above additionally shows a real yield percentage where enough community/audit data exists for a specific ore and method combination.

Frequently asked questions
Where does the price and yield data come from?
Live commodity prices and refinery yield bonuses are sourced from UEX Corp, tracked by their community of data-runners and refreshed automatically. The actual raw-to-refined yield percentage per ore and method is real reports submitted by users of this tool where they exist, UEX's own audited refinery jobs where they don't, or - for combinations with no reports at all yet - a rough estimate based on the method's published yield rating (roughly 30% for a low-rated method, 35% for medium, 40% for high), clearly labelled so you know which kind of number you're looking at. Ore quality/concentration has to come from your own in-game scan, since that's specific to the rock you mined.
Why do some yield numbers say "rough estimate" instead of a real report?
CIG hasn't published the exact refining formula, and real reported yields can differ a lot from UEX's own audited figures for the same ore and method - so rather than blend the two together, real submitted reports always take priority, UEX's audits are used only when no community report exists yet, and a method-rating-based rough estimate is shown only when neither exists. Submitting your own result below moves a combination up to real data for everyone.
How often does the data update?
Prices and refinery yields sync automatically every 30 minutes.
